The Avengers: 90s recast - Leonardo DiCaprio as Loki
One of the fun aspects of Django Unchained was Leonardo DiCaprio as the “boy king” of Candieland, instead of the older man the script initially featured. So this Loki would basically be the guy who grows up into Calvin Candie; and in MCU, Loki is supposed to be young (younger than Thor, who is quintessentially an impulsive young buck). So, instead of The Man In The Iron Mask, DiCaprio portrays the sneering, sniveling, but somewhat sympathetic Loki. And, in a curious repeat of history, teenage girls abound to explain away his every evil deed as a bunch of martyrdom.
And no, he doesn’t win an Oscar for his performance.
